What Does a Development Advisor Do?

A Development Advisor supports tourism businesses in their growth and organizational development. In Indigenous tourism, this role focuses on guiding entrepreneurs through project planning, improving their offerings, and highlighting their cultural realities. The work is carried out in collaboration with various partners and is grounded in listening, advising, and ongoing support. By taking part in follow-up meetings and awareness workshops such as Aashukan, the advisor helps strengthen understanding of Indigenous realities in a tourism context. This is a people-centred, strategic role deeply rooted in sustainable development.
